I was impressed by the fishing down in Venice, there is definately snook in the area right now , mostly on the beach, around the the jetties, and we had the best luck around the pier. Caught biggest snook to date 40 inches 19 lbs. She was a fatty , got some great pics and got her back in the water and revivied. Also caught some more between 24 - 34 inches. Snook were lined up and down the beach. I caught them on the D.O.A shrimp. and the big mama was caught on live bait. If anyone has the chance to go to Venice I for sure recommend it. Also we had a pod of tarpon eating/schooling , no such luck.
